Estevan police report arrests, assault charges and supports

Estevan police reported multiple arrests, an assault investigation, and supports provided to a stranded woman during the Aug. 25 shift.

ESTEVAN — Estevan police reported several incidents on Aug. 25, including arrests, assault-related charges and assistance for a stranded traveller.

A 49-year-old man was arrested south of Hitchcock by the RCMP in connection with two thefts from vendors in Estevan. He was transported to EPS and lodged in cells.

Police also assisted a 30-year-old woman from Winnipeg who had been stranded in the city by the man she was travelling with. EPS members provided her with multiple services and supports.

A woman reported an assault to police, leading to pending charges against an Estevan man and woman for uttering threats and assault.

Several drivers were stopped and spoken to after police received reports of erratic driving.

Officers also responded to a report of a suspicious man and woman at Estevan Self Storage. Both were removed from the property, and a 37-year-old man was arrested on warrants before being released a short time later.
