ALAMEDA —  The Carlyle RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in locating the driver of a white Dodge truck that was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run collision at approximately 7 a.m. on Aug. 22.

According to the RCMP, the incident took place on Highway 9 just north of Alameda. The white truck, which the RCMP described as lifted and with after-market white rims and wide tires, was travelling southbound on the highway when it crossed the centre line and clipped the oncoming vehicle.

The RCMP says there weren't any injuries, and the victim's vehicle was drivable. The detachment added the white truck will have a missing or severely damaged driver's side rear-view mirror.

The Carlyle RCMP is asking for the driver to contact the detachment. If anybody has information related to the truck and the suspected driver, contact the Carlyle detachment at 306-453-6707. People can also call 310-RCMP for immediate response, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
