Pleasantdale School has opted to go online with its popular annual People’s Choice Art Show.

The editor: The past six to eight weeks I’ve sent numerous letters asking specific questions from our premier, minister of health, ministry of health and my MLA. My letters were rebuffed or deflected to the www.saskatchewan.ca/COVID19.

The City of Estevan has announced a portion of a service road will be closed Friday morning. The eastern edge of the Highway 39 east service road is shut down with no through traffic from 8:00 a.m. to noon due to road patching.

Members of the Estevan Police Service have made arrests for drug possession and a probation violation, among other calls this week.

The editor: This whole COVID-19 pandemic is really bringing to light the nursing home situation in Canada.

The provincial state of emergency due to COVID-19 has been extended for two weeks. While new case numbers remain low, residents are reminded that COVID-19 is still present in Saskatchewan.

There are two new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, the Ministry of Health said Thursday, bringing the provincial total to 639. One new case is in the north region and one is in the Saskatoon region.

Cheers: Cheers to the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division for organizing the great parade through the streets of Estevan last week. It was great to see how it went throughout the community, rather than just a neighbourhood.

While I know it does not really go with my motorcycle riding, stock car loving persona, one of my favourite things about spring is the smell of fruit trees. As we walk around the neighbourhood, the air is scented with apple, cherry and plum.
