I've never been a big fan of goodbyes, but here we are. This is my final paper with the Mercury after just over 16 years. It feels very weird to be writing that.

A call for civic pride

It's not an Estevan-only problem, but it's one that this city certainly isn't immune to. Civic pride is a sense of duty, an attitude that everyone in a community has a stake in the well being of the streets, the buildings and the people.

Somebody help Montreal please

This week I'm really worried about Montreal. I know I shouldn't be. I think that city will do just fine without my input. They have federal governments that keep giving them stuff, but still, I kind of grieve for the city.
