A new committee has been formed in Estevan to address safety and well-being issues in various sectors in the city.

"Driving impaired is a crime. And it's dangerous. Impaired driving is still responsible for more deaths on Saskatchewan roads than any other factor," said Lowen. "Just don't drive impaired. There are choices out there. Make sure you make the right choice."

Omentum has been on display since Nov. 24 and will remain until Jan. 23, 2024. It is a touring exhibit through the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils.

The provincial government has announced the completion and opening of the St. Joseph's Addiction Recovery Centre's housing units. 

Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS) distributed $2.1 million in charitable gaming grants throughout the province in the second quarter of the 2023-24 fiscal year.

The Estevan Minor Hockey Association's fourth annual Aaron Lavoie Memorial U18 Tournament was held from Friday to Sunday at Affinity Place and the Power Dodge Arena.

The cast is in dress rehearsals this week and start performing on Dec. 7. The play will also run Dec. 8 and 9. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Lampman Legion Hall.
