It was a good night for hardware when the Estevan Wildlife Federation members celebrated the success enjoyed by their hunters and fishers during their 26th annual Awards Dinner at the Wylie-Mitchell Air Cadet Hall last Saturday.

For the second time in 2011, the Estevan Comprehensive School had to be cleared because of a bomb threat. A threat was phoned into the school Feb. 15 at 1:30p.m., prompting the evacuation of students and staff a short time later.

The Estevan Apex Bruins midget team continued strong play during a pair of games on the weekend collecting another two wins.

A local residence appears to have been the object of a drive-by shooting incident last week, but no one was injured in the event that was reported to the Estevan Police Service (EPS) Feb. 19.
