A change in ownership is likely going to mean some major changes for the residents of an Estevan apartment block.

The SJHL's 2010 Showcase took place in Weyburn over the weekend, and the Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins came away with three of a possible four points thanks to a win over Melville and a shoot-out loss to the host Red Wings.

Deliberations on the City of Estevan's 2011 budget are underway. The members of council began poring over the dense budget document during a special meeting Tuesday afternoon at city hall.

The Bienfait Public Library is open once again. After having to close down due to the lack of a local librarian, the Bienfait Library's board announced this past week that the public facility is open for business once again.

The Estevan female Baxter midget A Cougars improved their record to 9-1-2 over the weekend with two home wins. The Weyburn TS&M Oilers were at the Lignite Miners Centre to take on the Cougars on Friday evening.

The Editor, I was watching Ian Poulter play in a European Tour golf tournament not too long ago. On the second playoff hole while tied for the lead, Ian accidentally dropped his ball onto his marker on the green.

With three more wins over the weekend, the Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins made it eight straight victories. The Bruins got by Melville, the Regina Wild and Weyburn to improve their record to 16-3-1 on the season.

One man was charged under the Alcohol Gaming Regulations Act on Dec. 3 after he attempted to purchase alcohol in a local lounge while being under the legal drinking age.
