During these weeks of oppressive heat, one of my favourite places to sit and relax is on a lawn chair situated under our back deck.

The latest severe thunderstorm watch in the southeast has been lifted. Environment Canada issued the watch at 12:37 p.m.

Members of the Estevan Fire Rescue Service had two calls on Wednesday. A single-vehicle incident occurred in north-central Estevan at about 11:45 a.m.

The Carnduff RCMP has announced that Nathan Rubbert has been located deceased. He was found Wednesday evening in the Oxbow area. His death is not believed to be suspicious in nature.

Approximately 50 volunteers were out in southeast Saskatchewan on July 21 an effort to find Nathan Rubbert, a 38-year-old man who has been missing since July 18.

It has been quite some time since we have shared news about Hill View Manor and our residents. It has been a challenging year but we are seeing a glimmer of hope with the recent lifting of restrictions and decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases.

The Estevan Minor Baseball Association is getting ready to welcome some talented young athletes to the community. The association will host the provincial U13 AA tournament from July 23-25 at Cactus Park.

My Dad graduated from the RCMP training depot in Regina in 1972. He spent the next 30 years as a proud member of the RCMP in B.C., working in North Vancouver, McBride, Fort St. John, Vancouver, Abbotsford and Langley.
