The Estevan Lions Club helped people celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday. The Lions delivered cupcakes to the Estevan Regional Nursing Home, Creighton Lodge and St. Joseph’s Hospital’s long-term care.

The Rural Municipality of Estevan No.5, Rural Municipality of Coalfields No. 4, and the Town of Bienfait have announced the formation of the Southeast Sask. Economic Partnership (SSEP).

Eligibility in the provincial age-based immunization program expanded today, May 10, to include ages 29 years and older. It remains 18 years and older for the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District.

Estevan Fire Rescue Service (EFRS) members were called out to a fire by Benson Sunday afternoon. The call came in at about 12:30 p.m. Firefighters responded to a report of a wildland fire in the RM of Benson.

The City of Estevan’s annual Operation Clean Sweep clean-up campaign is underway. Crews are picking up trash at city entrances and outlying areas and city-owned properties on May 10.

Members of the Estevan Police Service made a couple of arrests on Sunday.
