The Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is accepting pre-orders for a take-out roast beef dinner. The initiative is aimed at engaging the community, while also raising some funds for further activities.

Since October, the Oxbow and District Recreation Board has hosted a virtual Chase the Ace draw on their Facebook page every Wednesday evening. Due to the abundance of community participation, the current jackpot sits at $26,259.

The Estevan Art Gallery and Museum (EAGM) is set to treat the community with some delicacies. They recently rolled out their newest fundraiser, which offers the community a variety of Mother's Day-themed charcuterie boxes.

It was a post that appeared on Facebook from the Government of Saskatchewan last week – an elevated risk of COVID-19 in Estevan due to variants of concern. And it featured a lot of the warnings we’re used to hearing.

The St. Joseph’s Healthcare Auxiliary has received a sizable head start as it fundraises for its latest commitment to the hospital. The auxiliary presented a cheque for $200,000 to the hospital on Wednesday morning.

There are 231 new cases of COVID-19 and 317 recoveries to report in Saskatchewan on April 21, bringing the provincial total to 38,883 cases. One (1) case not previously reported was added to the Saskatoon total.

Most schools in the South East Cornerstone Public School Division and all schools in the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division will return to Level 2, in-class learning, effective April 26 as planned.

A date hasn’t been set yet, but owner Brad Dutton looks forward to the start of the 2021 golf season at the Hideout Golf Course, located at the Hidden Valley Golf and RV Resort.
