After a few fog-and smoke-free days, it was disappointing to see smoke from California wildfires returning.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. To save ourselves from the work of preparing a full turkey dinner, we decided to change the menu at Thanksgiving last year. In the weeks leading up to it, we found ourselves dealing with rather full schedules.

We live our lives against an infinite horizon, never far from the spirituality all around us. The sun was setting and I was getting stressed. I had lost my cell phone. I carefully re-checked the garage I had cleaned, the lawn I had cut.

There’s two famous Roger Morgans in modern history. London-born Roger Ernest Morgan played as a winger in the English Football League with Queen’s Park Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur in the 1960s and 1970s.

The Honourable David Marit is the Saskatchewan Party candidate for the 2020 provincial election on Oct. 26. Marit is politician and former agricultural producer. He became the MLA for Wood River on April 4, 2016.

Karen Goruick is the Assiniboia Art Council’s Mistletoe Art and Craft sale coordinator along with Joanne Weiss. Her art centres on quilts and coiled bowls. The following is an excerpt from an interview between the ACC and Goruick in September.

Since the residents of West Side Court could not make their annual trip to tour the Assiniboia and District Museum, the museum “came to them” via a ‘Museum in a Suitcase’.

The air was a balmy 75 degrees, hardly autumn weather. Our dinner guests enjoyed the beautiful day sharing a meal around folding chairs pushed together on our covered patio.

I was late to the party of fans that enjoyed the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation when it aired from 2009-2015. I started watching the political satire just this past April after looking for something lighthearted.

As I began the tedious task of packing away one season’s clothes and taking out garb for the next, I was reminded of how limited the use of my wardrobe was these past months.
