Wanuskewin Heritage Park (Saskatoon) announced the birth of three baby bison.

On April 25, the Honourable Dustin Duncan, Minister of the Environment, officially proclaimed May 22 as Arbor Day and May 17-24 as Arbor Week (a time to plant trees).

Of all the times I’ve lived through, including both bad times and bad situations, I don’t think I ever remember hearing so many stories of neighbours helping neighbours or of strangers helping strangers.

Broken but beautifully mended

Two and a half cups of raw macaroni (cook, drain and set aside). One quarter cup of margarine. One quarter cup of flour. One teaspoon of salt. One teaspoon of sugar. Two cups of milk. A half-pound of Velveeta cheese. Two thirds cup of sour cream.

Today, Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Marit awarded four scholarships to Saskatchewan students pursing an agriculture-related education.

First, I would like to extend our community’s condolences to the province and communities of Nova Scotia in their time of grief.

Margaret Douglas arrived in Saskatchewan from Ontario in 1914 with her family to join her husband at their homestead, located 16 kilometres south of Lafleche in the Harwood School District.
