One of the many attractions at the Estevan Fair galloped into the rodeo grounds, on June 20, 21 and 22.

Walking has become a much-loved and valued part of my life resulting in remarkable improvements in my health and appearance; for nearly a year I’ve started each day at the track. Then, tendonitis hit.

Three sons left home, went out on their own and prospered. Later they sent gifts to their Mother. The first built her a big house. The second sent her a Mercedes with a driver.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Ninety years ago, the residents of Estevan were expressing concerns over local matters that resonate within the community today.

A flippant remark I often make upon recalling something is: like the skunk said when the wind turned, now it all comes back to me.

Soon after writing my first column in 1997 I established the routine of choosing, preparing and submitting my work every Sunday evening. It’s been part of my pattern of worship.

The family’s desire to keep the story succinct, simply states that in 1919 Reinhold Mantei purchased a homestead quarter of land in the Outram area that remains with the family to this day.

Jordan Howie, who was born and raised in Estevan, embarked on a volunteering mission to help those in need, in rural Peru.

There were plenty of laughs, and broom-borne fun for all involved at the second annual muggle quidditch tournament, hosted by the Estevan chapter of the Harry Potter Alliance.

Michele Amy has taken a unique approach to running the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party, an annual music camp in Moose Mountain Provincial Park. Rather than having camps divided into different age groups and skill levels, there is one large camp for all.
