In the Community

The final meeting of the Heritage Committee was held at the Village Inn on Aug. 29. Overall it was a great day, beautiful weather and good attendance.

Saturday was a great night for sky-gazers in the Estevan area.

A defeat in fantasy football resulted in a memorable moment for an Estevan man.

Aug. 28 was the last day of fun at the Alida Swimming Pool. They had lots of fun games, treats, hot dogs and movies planned, but the weatherman didn’t co-operate. There was a small crowd on hand to enjoy the festivities, eat hot dogs and to say good bye to the swimming pool for another year.

Birthdays, music, reading and socializing were among the activities for residents in July and August.

Most families whose kids are enrolled with the St. Mary's joined the staff for Back to School BBQ. Children were thrilled to see friends, get to know teachers and check out the classrooms, and accompanying parents and siblings would visit with each other, too.

More than 100 people attended the gathering and had a great time with many activities.
