It’s time for another interactive murder mystery, hosted by the Weyburn Agricultural Society.
A cast of 10, along with backstage volunteers, will stage “You Have the Right to Remain Dead”, written by Pat Cook, in the upstairs hall of the Weyburn Royal Canadian Legion.
Dinner theatres will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25, and a dessert matinee will be held on Sunday, March 26.
During the play, the audience is invited to solve an interactive murder mystery. Narrator Harnell Chesterton will start the play by guiding the audience through the typical foils of a murder mystery.
But just when it seems clear who might be the victim, and who might be the murderer … an unexpected twist will make things much more interesting for the cast, crew and the entire audience.
This frantic mystery-comedy will have audiences guessing until the last clue is dropped and the last ham overacts.
“You Have the Right to Remain Dead” is directed by Christine Cooper.
Cast includes Pat Hume as Harnell Chesterton; Pete Broccolo as Officer Bainbridge; Ann-Marie Martineau as Blanche LaTorre; Sabrina Kraft as Sweet Mama and Doris Trumbull; Rachael Clarke as Savannah and Lois Jacobsen; Leslie Richards as Hyacinth and Leigh Dorsett; Rylan Morrison as Clete and Ajax Conroy; Avery Waldner as Earl and Steven Randall; Sean Riley as Fat Daddy and Arnold Trumbull; and Laura Morrissette as Trudy Marsh.
Tickets for “You Have the Right to Remain Dead” are available at the Royal Canadian Legion lounge. Dinner theatre tickets cost $40 and include a roast beef supper. Dessert matinee tickets cost $20.
Funds raised by the dinner theatre help support programs and services provided by the Weyburn Agricultural Society, including their annual Weyburn Fair. Information on their upcoming season can be found on their website.
