The sun came out to shine on a talented group of artists for the Moose Mountain Provincial Park’s Local Artists Show and Sale, held Aug. 18 on the lawn of the park’s chalet.

The show featured many members of the artist colony in residence from the summer, as well as others local to the area.

It offered something for everyone, with paintings on canvas, skulls, carvings in antlers, characters in Paverpol, quilts, portraits, pottery and bronze art.

Other highlights included bowls created from layers and pieces of different woods laminated and then formed on a lathe, works of art created from sugar sacks embellished with thread and beads, and tiles layered with painting on top of alcohol ink creations.
