Cars in the opening heat of the Demo Derby crash together to start the action off, in front of a packed grandstand with an overflow crowd on Wednesday evening at the Weyburn Fair. The derby, along with the lawnmower tractor races, are one of the highest-attended events of the annual fair, which this year recorded total attendance figures of 9,832, up 500 from a year ago. The winner of this heat was Mac Metheral, with Craig Davies in second place.
