The musical world of “Seussical Junior” will be staged by the Weyburn Comp Junior Musical Theatre group next week.
The musical will be staged at the Cugnet Centre on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 16 and 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Many well-known Dr. Seuss characters will be springing to life onstage for “Seussical Junior”, include Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Mayzie La Bird, Gertrude McFuzz, all the Citizens of the Jungle of Nool and the Whovians.
Nick Moffat has the title role of Horton the Elephant. His favourite song of the musical is “Alone in the Universe”. Bransyn Lyon has the other title role of the Cat in the Hat, the narrator of the musical.
Abby Akins plays Gertrude McFuzz. Her favourite song is “Notice Me Horton”. Kristen Fortune plays the Sour Kangaroo and her favourite song is “Biggest Blame Fool”.
Jayda Cameron plays Mayzie La Bird. Her favourite song is “Amayzing Mayzie”. Summer Baigent plays Jojo and her favourite song is “Anything’s Possible”, where she sings in a bathtub surrounded by fish.
There are many other amazing talent on the stage during “Seussical Junior.”
Tickets to “Seussical Junior” are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and children under five years old get in free. Tickets are available for purchase at the Weyburn Comprehensive School main office.
