Everything Fitz

An eclectic program featuring Celtic arrangements, bluegrass, jazz and step dancing will be featured at the Cugnet Centre on Thursday, October 20 for “Everything Fitz”.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available at Music Craft and Weyburn Review/ Weyburn This Week office and cost $28 for adults and $12 for students. Advance tickets are only available with cheque or cash. Tickets at the door cost $30 for adults and $15 for students.
“Everything Fitz” features siblings Tom, Julie and Kerry, three-time Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champions and multi-award winning step dancers, who are accompanied by their parents. The group began their touring careers 10 years ago with the Stars for Saskatchewan Concert Series. Joining the siblings on guitar and lead vocals is Nate Douglas (guitarist for The Next Generation Leahy).
This family’s musical journey began early in life as they studied the unique style that evolved with Irish, Scottish and French immigrants. Over time, they have developed their art form to include various styles of fiddle music including Celtic, jazz, bluegrass, French-Canadian, and pop.
“Everything Fitz” has also explored other forms of dance including tap and Irish. The siblings continue to push boundaries by fusing traditional and modern styles of fiddle and dance to create their own unique sound and style.
Their creativity and passion for experimentation has led them to compose original tunes and arrangements. It is this rare combination of exceptional musicianship and energetic dancing, audience interaction, evident love of performing, and genuine sibling connection that resonates with audiences of all ages and will make this performance a truly unforgettable experience.
“Everything Fitz” is hosted by the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils along with the Weyburn Concert Series as part of the 2016 to 2017 Stars for Saskatchewan Concert series.
