Champion fiddler Scott Woods will wrap up his “Love That Fiddle” touring show at the Grace United Church in Weyburn on Sunday, June 12.
“Love That Fiddle” showcases one of Wood’s favourite instruments, the fiddle. The concert will start at 7 p.m.
Scott Woods studied classical violin from age four. His love of fiddling has been passed down through six generations of his family.
“Our shows are always attended by a good responsive crowd,” said Woods.
During the concert, Woods combines his masterful playing ability, a wonderful sense of humour and an incredibly talented group of musicians and puts it all together into a top notch fiddle variety show that is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
The Scott Woods Band travels extensively throughout Canada each year helping to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for churches, charities and other community organizations. The show changes twice every year to a brand new theme so there’s always something new to see.
“We change up the theme of the show, so that the performance is a brand new show, and there is a good a reason to come see our band,” said Woods.

Woods is the two-time winner of the Canadian Open Fiddle Contest, two-time winner of the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championships, and Canadian Fiddle Entertainer of the Year. He has also won competitions and performed throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.
Known for his trick fiddling, Woods can turn somersaults and step dance while playing the fiddle.
