Jamboree offers lots of music and art

This year’s Bow Valley Jamboree in Oxbow offered plenty of music for the crowds that turned out at Bow Valley Park. The music started just after noon and continued until the overnight hours.

This year’s Bow Valley Jamboree in Oxbow offered plenty of music for the crowds that turned out at Bow Valley Park.

The music started just after noon and continued until the overnight hours. Southeast group Downwind was the first act to take to the stage.

The music continued with performances by Theresa Sokyrka, Wool Tree Grove, Del Suelo, The Pistolwhips, Belle Plaine, The Bystanders, The New Montagues and Ten Mile High, ensuring that a variety of music would be offered.

Local and up-and-coming acts performed between the featured musicians, giving them an opportunity to showcase their skills. These performers included Kilted Wind; the Oxbow Dance Group; Brooklyn Ewert Jensen and Morgan Huenison; Jordan Lindenbach; UnForgetable; Jordan Power, Eryn, Kieran and Ian Stewart; and Josh Sinclair Ian Stewart and Chad Jeannot.

The event also had arts vendors who were on hand to sell their merchandise, and food vendors were on site throughout the day.

The jamboree is organized by the Oxbow Arts and Cultural Committee.
