Kristen Keith is the winner of the 2016 Helen Davidson Music Award, and will receive a scholarship of $2,000.
Keith is graduating from the Weyburn Comprehensive School this June and plans to continue her study of piano.
She has volunteered of her time and talents in church and school. She has participated in the Weyburn Music Festival and was recommended to Provincials. At school, Keith has participated in choirs, accompanied the STARS Choir, and has enjoyed being part of the musical productions.
The committee invite the public to attend the presentation of the award to Kristen Keith on Sunday, June 19 at the T.C. Douglas Centre, at 7 p.m.
Kristen will provide a short program to be followed by a reception.
This award is presented in the memory of Helen Davidson, a Music Teacher and organist in Weyburn for many years. Kristen is the 10th recipient of the $2,000 award.
