The Estevan and District Music Festival will soon be accepting registrations for the 2019 edition of the festival.
“It is the ‘Most Wonderful Time of the Year;’ the sounds of music are everywhere we go, and this reminds us that music festival is just around the corner,” the music festival stated in a news release.
Registration for the 2019 festival opens on Jan. 15, and will continue until Feb. 1.
The music festival is moving to a new registration system, and the information will be emailed out to local music teachers. People are asked to visit the festival’s Facebook page for answers to any questions.
“The Music Festival is encouraging people to use the online entry system, which is easy to use,” stated the news release.
The fee schedule is $20 for solos and duets, $25 for small groups of three to six people, and $30 for large groups.
Performances start with piano from March 24-30. This will be followed by vocal and speech arts from March 31-April 2. The festival will wrap up with band April 3-4. These dates are subject to change based on adjudicator availability but most likely will remain the same.
“The Estevan and District Music Festival always appreciates the support from the community,” said the news release. “Over $10,000 in scholarships are donated by local businesses and groups. Music really does make things better.”
