The time is quickly approaching for the start of rehearsals for the Southeast-Northwest Chorus.
The first get-together for the prospective choristers is set for Sept. 13 in Crosby, N.D.
“The practices are fun and exciting and are held every Tuesday until the first week in December,” said Mariah Erickson, a chorus member.
Those from Estevan making the trek to Crosby are reminded to bring their passports for the border crossing routine.
Once again, a carpooling system will be established in Estevan to make the trips easier with the car poolers meeting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on 12th Avenue to arrange the rides. The little musical convoys will depart at 5:15 each Tuesday, so those who are needing a ride are asked to be there on time.
Those who are driving outside of the car pool system, are reminded that the rehearsals take place at the Divid County Elementary School in the 200 block of First Street N.W. in Crosby.
This is the 46th year for the chorus and new recruits are always welcomed.
The theme for this year’s Yule season concert will be Glory to the King.
The concerts this year have been scheduled for Dec. 3 at St. Paul’s United Church in Estevan, at 1418- Third Street) starting at 7 p.m. and the next afternoon at Concordia Lutheran Church in Crosby at 301 Main Street NW.
