Students from the Drewitz School of Dance, under the direction of Lorie-Gay Drewitz-Gallaway, were tested in tap, jazz and ballet for exams, badges and medals.
Exams took place Jan. 19 and 20. The examiner was Paulette Puetz from Humboldt.
Associate teachers exams were held on Dec. 3, 2017, in Regina with Puetz and Jacquie Huck serving as the examiners.
The results were received recently.
In the jazz examinations, Reese Handley was highly commended in intermediate major. Hunter Hildebrand received a distinction in associate teachers’ jazz.
In jazz badges and medals, Kia Rosenbaum received a gold jazz medal with honours, while Brielle Wakely and Colesey Goetz were highly commended. Kailey Kowalchuk was commended.
In the ballet examinations, for badges and enrichments, Aliza Pulvermacher, Ilona Ryaboshapko, Gabrielle Deitz, Sophia Deitz, Ava Mann, Hadlee Terrett, Lyric Beaulieu, Summer Petersen, Tyler Zabel, Julie Berg, Brooklyn Penney, Sophia Heidinger-Fornwald, Natalie Kedge and Allie Lainton had successful rankings in the preliminary ballet badge category.
In Grade 3 ballet enrichment, Jersey Long, Elsie Alexander, Lauren Kobitz and Kaitlin Milbrandt had honours. Emily Phillips, Shayla Gill, Kelsey Kowalchuk and Tiana Seeman were highly commended, and Jenna Fleck, Madison Hrywkiw, Codie Lemcke and Savanna Perry were commended.
As for the tap examinations, Reese Handley earned honours in intermediate major, while Hunter Hildebrand received a distinction in associate teachers’ tap.
