Southeast Saskatchewan folk-roots trio Hook & Nail has reached another milestone: the release of their first music video.
The video for Ride was posted on Hook & Nail's YouTube page and other social media sites on Friday morning.
Ride follows the story of a young person growing up in an abusive household, and connects how those early experiences can impact adult life. The song was inspired by the real-life experiences and memories of band member Lindsay Arnold’s parents growing up on the Prairies.
The video combines performance footage and scenes inspired from the song’s storyline and was shot at an abandoned farmhouse near North Portal.
The song itself is the third single to be released from Hook & Nail's debut album Ghosts of Taylorton, which came out last year.
Band members are Lindsay Arnold, Mike Davis and Jeff Michel.
