The entertainment at this year's St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation's Festival of Trees gala fundraiser has a strong local connection.
Spenny and the Jets is a four-person band from Edmonton that features former Estevan resident Spencer Vaughn Lafrentz. They have three sets for Saturday night's supper, with cover hits, Christmas songs and some of their own music.
Other highlights from Saturday night's event include live and silent auctions. Many Christmas trees are on display as well.
Hundreds of people are in attendance for this year's supper, which is the big fundraiser for the Festival of Trees.
Other activities to happen so far this weekend include a senior's tea on Friday afternoon and the Candy Cane Lane dessert and drink tasting night on Friday night.
The Festival of Trees will wrap up with Santa's Breakfast with the Bruins, sponsored by Estevan Mercury Publications. It starts at 9 a.m. Santa Claus will be present to take wish lists from local children, and the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins will be in attendance.
The Mercury will continue to have coverage of this year's Festival of Trees.
