During the month of June, numbers have varied. June 3 had five and a half tables and Lydia Milleker and Lucie Nickel took top honours, Carmen Vilness and Andy Dumba placed second, Marg Stewart and Bernie Dufour were third and Isabelle Butters and Meta Murray were fourth.
Three tables played on June 6 and Fran Franks and Andy Dumba finished first, while Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were second.
On June 10 with three and a half tables, Erskine and Mildred Sandiford took first place, John Whitell and Roy Wallin placed second, and George Gillies and Marion Brown were third.
With three tables playing on June 13 Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel had a strong first place finish and Diane Bell and Bernie Dufour placed second.
June 17 was the summer social and following dinner, nine tables played for the club championship. Sitting East / West Jim Brown and George Gillies placed first and they were first overall; Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart placed second; and Gord Bell and Jerry Thiessen were third. Sitting North / South Diane Bell and Ilyne Thiessen were first place finishers; Lydia Milliker and Lucie Nickel placed second; and Jean Fahlman and Chuck Widdis were third.
On June 20 with two and a half tables, first place went to Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel who had a strong game at 77.5 percent while Isabelle Butters and Bernie Dufour claimed second.
Three and a half tables played on June 24 and Bernie Dufour and Marg Stewart were first place finishers, followed by a tie for second between Gord Bell and Barry Mactaggart and Fran Franks and Andy Dumba.
June 27 also had three and a half tables and Bernie Dufour and Marg Stewart finished on top; Jim Brown and Andy Dumba were second; and Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were third.
For the months of July and August the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club will play on Monday evenings only at the Wheatland Senior Centre starting at 7:00 p.m. All Bridge players are welcome to come and play.
