The Weyburn Comprehensive School’s Senior Theatre Club will present “Usher: A Totally Teen Comedy,”on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, Dec. 5, 6 and 8, at 7 p.m. each night, and then on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.

The cast is in dress rehearsals this week and start performing on Dec. 7. The play will also run Dec. 8 and 9. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Lampman Legion Hall.

The Southeast Chorus and the Northwest Chorus teamed up for their annual celebration of Christmas music on the weekend.

The Ennis Sisters - Maureen, Karen and Teresa - brought their tight-knit harmonies and East Coast-flavoured music to the Cugnet Centre in Weyburn, as part of the Weyburn Concert Series on Thursday evening. They sang well-known carols, some Christmas songs they have penned, and did some Irish step-dancing for the large audience.

A large crowd turned out at the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum Wednesday night to celebrate the efforts of the Estevan Photo Club.

A Winter Wellness pass covers admission for one youth under the age of 18 to the Weyburn Leisure Centre and Credit Union Spark Centre.

A Grade 4 class from Legacy Park Elementary School had a tour of the art exhibit by Metis artist Phyllis Poitras-Jarrett at the Weyburn Art Gallery. They were asked to find a "spirit bead" specially placed in each work, and to choose their favourite work out of the exhibit.

Singing groups from schools, churches and the community, along with some local performers, will take part in the 70th edition of the Festival of Carols on Sunday, Dec. 3.

A Christmas show with an Irish folk and East Coast flavour will be showcased for the Weyburn Concert Series, as the Ennis Sisters will perform on Thursday, Nov. 30.

Dinner theatre performances of Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner will happen on Nov. 24 and 25 at the Bienfait Weldon School gymnasium.
