Calgary – On July 27 Crescent Point Energy Corp. announced its operating and financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017.

Estevan residents have consistently continued to use the curbside recycling service over the last couple of years.

A large mural is beautifying the centre of Assiniboia between Second and Third Avenues. The mural is commissioned by Communities in Bloom and the art is by Vivian Kell. Kell says that she still has some work to complete on the mural.

The price of benchmark West Texas Intermediate oil took a dip below US$50 per barrel in late May and hasn’t returned to that level since, dropping as low as $US42.53 on June 21.

The City of Estevan is seeking a firm for the brokerage and marketing of Glen Peterson Park, the industrial subdivision in east-central Estevan that has a number of vacant lots.

A company has stepped in and is now providing transportation services from Estevan to Regina. Rider Express Transport’s first day of service was on Monday morning.

Nominations are now being accepted for the Estevan Chamber of Commerce’s fourth biennial Estevan Business Excellence (EBEX) Awards, which will be handed out on Oct. 20 at the Wylie-Mitchell building.

The shutdown at the carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at SaskPower’s Boundary Dam Power Station is virtually complete. The CCS facility went offline in late May, and remained shut down through June.
