The Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop is asking those who have extra pennies to bring them to 1720 East Avenue. Every donation gets you an entry form to win a gift certificate worth $50 towards any wooden item of your choosing from the SARC catalogue.
Any business or organization would like to organize a contest within your office can contact the Wor-Kin Shop for assistance with collecting and counting.
All funds raised will go towards the agency's goal of raising $500,000 in order to begin construction on their new Day Program facility to support adults with intellectual disabilities.
The agency has also launched a raffle consisting of various items that have been donated by local businesses. Prizes consist of two curling brooms autographed by Russ Howard - Two time World Curling Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist and recent Canada Sports Hall of Fame inductee; a Guess wallet donated by Evelyn Lane, and two three month memberships to Olympia Fitness.
Tickets are available from any member of the Board of Directors or staff, or by stopping by the agency office at 1720 East Avenue, or in the Sarcan depot. The draw will be made July 15.
