Rochelle Toporowski has a close look at the deep reds and oranges on the Virginia creeper growing up the side of the house of her neighbour, April and Stan Sampson, on Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue South. Rochelle, a Grade 5 student at Souris, admired the colourful plants which cover two sides of the Sampsons' home, and along a stone wall on their driveway. April said she brought the plant from her father's place in Saskatoon 50 years ago, and noted they only achieve this colour with the right frost.
