Alberta Amber Alert no longer in effect

There has been an extension of an Amber Alert declared by Crowsnest Pass RCMP, for the abduction of a female child on Sept. 14 at 3:30 a.m., from the Town of Blairmore Alberta, across British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Montana.

There has been an extension of an Amber Alert declared by Crowsnest Pass RCMP, for the abduction of a female child on Sept. 14 at 3:30 a.m., from the Town of Blairmore Alberta, across British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Montana.

The child's name is Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette, a two-year-old cacuasian female child, with a small build, straight light brown hair with bangs, and brown eyes. 

Hailey was abducted by an unknown person, whose vehicle fled from a residence in the west part of the town, at a high speed. The vehicle was described as a white van that is a newer model. The vehicle was also described to have a large rear antenna with a flag attached.

RCMP advise not to approach the suspect. If you have any information, RCMP have advised to contact the Crowsnest Pass RCMP at 403-562-2866 or Child Find SK at 1-800-513-3463.

RCMP have also confirmed that they found the body of her 27-year old father, Terry Blanchette whose death is being treated as a homicide.  


Update:

9:30 p.m.

The Sept. 14 Amber Alert issued for missing child Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette has been cancelled, at the request of "K" Division RCMP.
