A car lies crumpled in the ditch at the intersection of Highways 13 and 39 as Constable Chris Lamontagne photographs the scene. The accident occurred after noon on Thursday when the car hit a semi. The woman driving the car came to a stop, travelling west on Highway 13, and looked before proceeding but she did not see the oncoming semi and a part of the trailer on the semi clipped her car and spun her into the ditch. The woman spent the night in hospital for observation. No serious injuries were reported for either driver. The woman was issued a ticket for proceeding from a stop sign before it was safe to do so.
