The JAMS Family Christmas Dinner was held on December 25, 2011 at the Knox Hall.
The dinner has become a mainstay for those who do not have anyone to share a meal with on Christmas Day. Knox Hall donates the space and the JAMS Family prepares a feast. All are welcome whether or not they can pay the suggested donation, which was only $8.00.
The turnout this year was the best out of the seven years the JAMS Family has served the meal. A total of 126 people were in attendance and four received their meals via delivery.
The net proceeds of $1,320, which was also the highest raised in the event's history, was donated to the Southeast Family Resource Center. The Centre will provide respite services to families of individuals who have special needs.
