APES Remembrance

Grades 5 and 6 students held up crosses, poppies and the Canadian flag as they recited the classic poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McRae, as part of the Remembrance ceremonies at Assiniboia Park School on Thursday. The students sang some songs, including one by the ukelele club, and had the Weyburn Legion’s Colour Guard present, along with chaplain Rev. John Ferrier giving an address about why it’s important to remember the sacrifices of soldiers for our country.
