March storm

Blowing and drifting snow blows through Weyburn and area on Monday afternoon, making for poor visibility for anyone travelling in or around the city and surrounding area. This view is of Sims Avenue just off Highway 39, looking to the northwest. The storm developed over Montana and pushed northwards, socking in much of southern and central Saskatchewan with the late winter storm for much of Monday, lasting until Tuesday with strong winds gusting up to 90 km an hour. The late winter storm followed on the heels of mild above-average spring-like weather over the weekend that melted much of the snow that was left in the city and area.
