The Weyburn Leisure Centre will host a number of family-friendly activities for Canada Day on Monday, July 1, to mark the 152nd birthday of Canada.
The events will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of the fireworks show, which will go at dusk from the exhibition grounds, approximately at 10:30 p.m.
The Weyburn Legion will hold a pancake breakfast at the Legion Hall rather than at the Leisure Centre.
On the Leisure Centre grounds, there will be cotton candy, an appearance by Paw Patrol characters from noon to 1 p.m., a magic show and balloon animals by Richy Roy from noon to 2, and bouncy houses provided by Seitz Rentals.
Inclusion Weyburn will put on a barbecue from noon to 2 p.m., featuring hot dogs and a drink for $4, or a burger and drink for $5.
Canada Day birthday will be provided by Prairie Sky Co-op from 2 to 2:30 p.m., and there will be free swimming on throughout the afternoon, from 1 to 5 p.m.
The Weyburn Fair will also be on throughout the day at the exhibition grounds, with 4-H competitions, and chuckwagon races at 6 p.m., with a movie night to start at 8 p.m.
