Canadian students help African grandmothers

Students from Souris School's Grade 3/4 class perform African music at the Inner Wheel's Grandmothers-to-Grandmothers luncheon on Oct. 3 at the Weyburn Legion Hall. The luncheon was held to help grandmothers in Africa raising their orphaned grandchildren and the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation. Clapping and singing in the back row, from left, are Riley Campbell, Autumn Mitten, Haley Aitken, Jayke Smolinski, Dakota Hoffman, Brooke Ward, Nikita Shanaida, Samantha Tegart, Travis Morin, Geordan Stock and Jared Laternus. Playing the drums, from left, are Anaka Love, Harmony Ausland, Jomel Fellner, Kyle Barret, and Justin Ameer-Beg. The school's music program received a $100 donation to their music program from the Inner Wheel as well.
