The Carlyle RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Monday morning on Highway 13, approximately one kilometre east of Manor.
Officers were called to the collision at 8:05 a.m.
Investigation determined that an SUV and a semi tractor-trailer unit collided. The lone passenger of the SUV, a 31-year-old male from Calgary, was declared deceased on scene. His family has been notified. The driver of the semi received minor injuries.
Highway 13 was closed and traffic was redirected during the initial investigation. The highway has since reopened.
The Carlyle RCMP and an RCMP collision reconstructionist continue to investigate.
