City police are investigating a report that over the night of Sept. 6-7, four vehicle wheels and tires were removed from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Government Road South. The vehicle was left placed on blocks.

As a result of community-based policing principles, city police were able to prevent an on-street drug transaction on Saturday. As a result, a 23-year-old Edmonton man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He was remanded into custody and made a court appearance in Regina on Monday.
Weyburn police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Government Road and First Avenue at about 11:40 a.m. on Sunday. The investigation revealed that a northbound vehicle was stopped at a red light and while stopped was rear-ended by another vehicle. A 55-year-old male driver of the second vehicle was charged with driving without due care and attention. There were no injuries.
Weyburn police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by a 33-year-old male at about 1:20 a.m. on Friday. As a result of the stop, the male was taken into custody and is now charged with refusing to provide a roadside breath sample, resisting arrest and breach of probation. He will be appearing in court in October.
Weyburn police received a complaint that during the night of Sept. 8, an unlocked vehicle was entered and a child car seat was removed. Anyone having information about this incident is asked to contact either the Weyburn Police, or to call Crime Stoppers.
City police responded to a complaint regarding an individual in a local bar at about 6 p.m. on Saturday. As a result of the investigation, a 58-year-old man was arrested without incident and is now facing a charge of breaching his undertaking by being in a bar and consuming alcohol.
Weyburn police received a complaint of a 33-year-old male who had indicated he wished to harm himself on Sunday. The person was located and given the assistance and support he needed at that time.
City police received a report of a possible assault on a child in progress at about 7 p.m. on Sunday. Through the investigation, it was determined that the child had been acting out and the caregiver was only attempting to control the child. There was no need for further involvement.
