The City of Estevan has issued a news release in response to the Re-Open Saskatchewan plan, released by the provincial government on Thursday.

Mayor Roy Ludwig said that due to the positive involvement of the community during this COVID-19 pandemic, it has given the provincial government the opportunity to re-open the economy in different phases.

“We appreciate the fact that our community has adhered to the social distancing, and we request that this discipline continues until a vaccine is developed,” said Mayor Roy Ludwig. “The city would like to thank every one of you for your positive involvement during these difficult times, and we look forward to seeing our great business community have the opportunity to resume business operations with the staged approach.”

“We would also like to thank the continued efforts provided by all the essential workers and staff, who have been working diligently through these times.”
