City public works employee Doug Hilts uses a large front-end loader to scoop away the piles of snow from the corner of Mitchell Crescent and 14th Street on Wednesday, as part of a city-wide effort to clear away city drains in preparation for the coming spring and melting of the snow. The city and province are making preparations to deal with the runoff when this year's massive snow dump starts melting away.
