At their meeting on April 23, Council approved the concept plan by Nicor for the development of the Souris Valley Land area.
The concept plan is a three-phase development that includes smaller lots for single family homes and multi-family homes. The plan will also allow site cleaning, tree removal of old underbrush and dying trees to begin preparation for new underground services.
A concept plan is not the final plan for construction purposes but it is a working plan that leads to detailed infrastructure design and the preparation of legal survey plans by the Developer.
Now approved, the concept plan is subject to the zones changes proposed and the reduced lot areas and frontages being advertised as zoning bylaw amendments and only adopted after the public review process for these changes are completed.
