Carlyle Town Council held their regular meeting Wednesday, June 1 at the Carlyle Civic Centre with Deputy Mayor Martin Tourand presiding.
Paperless billing
Residents of Carlyle now have the option of choosing paperless billing. Details can be found on the town's website at www.townofcarlyle.com.
Sun Country Health Region
Alderman and Sun Country Health Region board member, Brian Romaniuk met with members of the Arcola Health Group in an effort to find a solution to this area's physician procurement concerns. Romaniuk told council the meeting was: “Productive and positive, and members of both communities are working together to get a doctor or doctors for our area.”
Dog waste
Council has received complaints about dog waste in town, especially within Lions Park-including on the ball diamonds. The Town of Carlyle urges dog owners to pick up their pets' waste and to dispose of it in a proper manner, so that everyone can enjoy Carlyle's parks and playgrounds.
