Scott Saxberg, president and CEO of Crescent Point Energy, at right, announces a $4.5 million commitment for the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation. Crescent Point Energy held a barbecue in the parking lot of Crescent Point Place on Wednesday afternoon, where they revealed their commitment. Mal Barber, president of the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation, announced that the $4.5 million helped push the foundation past their $20 million goal. They will continue to fund raise for a new hospital, and equipment for that hospital, and now will wait for the provincial government to provide a funding commitment, as the provincial government is responsible for 80 per cent of the facility funding.
