Crocus 80 Theatre is preparing for their November dinner theatres, and they have murder on the mind. The goal is to stage "Murder Most Fouled Up", which has a cast of nine.
"Our dinner theatres are a big event for Crocus 80, and we are so excited to work again with director Gwen Wright after last year's success with 'Happy Birthday Dear Grandpa'," said Sabrina Kraft, president of Crocus 80 Theatre.
Due to the special effects that occur during the play, Crocus 80 Theatre is seeking backstage crew as well. "It is so important that we have enough people on stage, and behind the scenes for this undertaking," said Kraft.
Crocus 80 Theatre will stage the dinner theatres at the Royal Canadian Legion from Thursday to Saturday, Nov. 22 to 24. They are working with the Weyburn Rotary Club for the dessert matinee on Sunday, Nov. 25.

A new executive was installed for Crocus 80 Theatre during their annual general meeting on Thursday night.
The new executive members are Sabrina Kraft, president; Connie Nightingale, vice president; Freda Lautner, treasurer; Rae Keefe, recording secretary; and members-at-large Elizabeth Nikkel, Charlene Doney and Jessica Jack.
Last year, Crocus 80 staged "Happy Birthday Dear Grandpa" and worked in collaboration with the Weyburn Agricultural Society for "Kitchen Witches."
"In both productions, Crocus 80 had help from a strong and extremely dedicated behind-the-scenes crew," said Nightingale. "The people who are behind the curtains are sometimes overlooked or forgotten about."
"As the first president of Crocus 80 Theatre since 2006-2007, I had set out with one goal in mind - build a solid foundation for community theatre to thrive and build off of. This goal was achieved," said Nightingale.
"It took many dedicated volunteers who believe in creating a safe and productive environment for persons to express themselves free of harassment and judgment," added Nightingale.
Crocus 80 Theatre will be staging two one-act plays on Thursday to Saturday, Oct. 18 to 19 at the Tommy Douglas Performing Arts Centre. "Bloom", written by Griffin playwright Leanne Minogue, will star Rae Keefe and Freda Lautner and is directed by Connie Nightingale.
"The Script" is the TheatreOne competition piece for Crocus 80. Cast of this play includes Logan White, Elizabeth Nikkel, Jessica Jack, Travis Longman and Jade Rooney. "The Script" is directed by Sabrina Kraft, and stage crew are Connie Nightingale and William Ley.
"It is so important for Crocus 80 to stage 'The Script' for our local audience before we compete in TheatreOne," said Kraft. TheatreOne will be hosted in Kerrobert on November 1 to 4.
"We are so excited about TheatreOne because it gives us an opportunity to compete against other theatre groups in the province, and allow our cast and crew the opportunity to attend performances and Theatre Saskatchewan workshops while we are in Kerrobert," said Kraft.
Also looking forward for 2013, Crocus 80 will plan for "Circle the Crops", their project for Weyburn's centennial. This play was written by award-winning author Ed Willett, a former Crocus 80 member, and will have many local references.
