A Women’s Empowerment Group, for women who have experienced abuse, will be organized by Envision Counselling and Support Centre in Weyburn and Estevan.
This group will focus on building empowerment and connection to aid women in their journey of healing.
Some of the topics to be explored by the group include self-esteem, boundaries and coping strategies.
The empowerment group will be a safe place for women to come together and have their voice heard.
It will be a closed group, and will run for 10 weeks, available for women who are 18 years old or older. There is no charge to take part in this group, but preregistration is required.
The group based in Weyburn will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 20, and will run on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Estevan-based group gets underway on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the same hours.
