A motorist is facing several charges following a traffic stop in Estevan on Friday.
Members of the Estevan Police Service stopped a vehicle in the 800-block of First Street. A 65-year-old man has been charged with obstruction, driving while disqualified, possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine. The vehicle he was operating was also unregistered and has been impounded.
He will appear in Estevan Provincial Court in July to answer to the charges.
Police arrested a 29-year-old Estevan man for violating conditions of his parole. He will be transported back to the Saskatchewan Penitentiary to serve the remainder of his sentence.
He has also been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property as a result of a shoplifting complaint at a retail store on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were dispatched to a north-central Estevan location Thursday on the report of a possible impaired driver. The 34-year-old Estevan woman was found to be sober, but was arrested as a result of an ongoing fraud investigation. She is scheduled to make her first court appearance on June 15 at 9:30 a.m. in Estevan Provincial Court.
