Pangman area producer Ken Kessler looks over a field of hard red spring wheat with his father, Gene, considering whether it was time to get the swather out to start cutting the crop down. Ken has learned much from his father, along with gaining help with equipment and land, and in turn Gene had had help from his father Bert, when he came back to the farm in 1979. Ken joined him in 2000, and together they run an organic grain farm north of Pangman.
